Folk Music and Forever: An Owlpen Manor Wedding to Remember

As Bristol wedding photographers, we get to witness love stories unfold in some of the most beautiful places - and Owlpen Manor is definitely on our list of top 10! Nestled deep in the Cotswolds, it’s a hidden gem filled with Tudor charm, rolling hills, and formal gardens that we both love.

Venue

Owlpen Manor is a dream location for wedding photography so we were over the moon when Saskia & Dan asked us to capture their big day. With its honey-stone architecture, lush gardens, and characterful buildings, Owlpen Manor offers a stunning mix of natural light and historic beauty. Every corner tells a story - from the petite Grist Mill to the elegant Tudor manor and the newer barn with it's structural beams made from wood felled on the manor. History is abundant here and I'm sure that's a big reason why our couple chose to marry here.

Bridal Prep

Saskia’s morning had a calm excitement as she got ready with her bridesmaids. Her gown from Ivory White Bridal was modern with Grecian draping and celestial embellishments. Her dress paired perfectly with waves styled by Chloe Elizabeth Hair Stylist and elegant matching nails by You Little Beauty York.

Elegant Flowers

Bloom and Bumble Flower Farm brought the setting to life with floral arrangements that looked freshly gathered from a classic English rose garden. Creams and soft greens complemented the rustic textures of the pole barn and cyder barn beautifully. The contrast of the bouquet's elegance and rustic wedding vibe was great to photograph!

Entertainment

After a beautiful ceremony in the Cyder Barn the evening carried on with live folk music from Folksmiths Band making for an incredible first dance.

As the sun set, we stole away with the couple for golden-hour portraits - an intimate moment that lets the couple reflect on their day and have something beautiful to look back on for many years to come. This moment of reflection for our couples is important to us as Weddings By Gould Photography supports letting the day unfold naturally and telling your unique story.
